UPCAT result to be release early

The University of the Philippines College Admission Test for the year 2012-2013 will be release next week, Wednesday, January 25.

Last school year, 13,000 passed UPCAT and this year, they are expecting about 10,000 will make it out of the 60,000 high school students who took the entrance exams.

UP and UST disagreement on entrance exams sparks over internet

A status on the social network Facebook sparked the ongoing rift regarding entrance examinations in college between the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) and the University of Santo Tomas Entrance Test (USTET).

One facebook user wrote as its status "Lumabas na pala ang results ng USTET, walang thrill kasi madali lang naman yun. Last week pa ng February ang sa UPCAT walang kasing hirap kasi kaya sulit ang paghihintay."

The post was immediately received comments, likes and sharing.

The UPCAT fan page was upset with the post and deleted it following an apology post to the UST.

Many acknowledged the quick clarification of the administrator of UPCAT fan page and admitted their mistake. USTET fan page administrators said that the administrator of UPCAT showed a humble and sincere gesture and accepted any faults made by their member.

Both administrators of the UPCAT and USTET calls for members and users to refrain from posting as their status nor comment negatively with regards to the issue.
